A | Actor Shaad Randhawa has had quite an eventful 2025 with three releases in the year. Two of them turned out to be big blockbusters with Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat creating a storm at the box office. Taking that momentum forward, the actor has now signed another big film with a legacy production house. Shaad will next be seen in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's next directorial, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. This marks his first collaboration with the Barjatyas, and the actor has already started shooting for the film. Shaad informs, “All I can say is that this is a completely different role from anything I’ve portrayed before. This film is extremely special to me, as it has always been a dream to work with Sooraj ji. I am deeply grateful to Sooraj ji and Mukesh Chhabra bhai for giving me this opportunity.” While details of the films are being kept under wraps, Ayushmann had recently revealed that he plays the role of Prem in the film, and it is a bit different from the brand of family entertainers that Sooraj Barjatya is known for. The film has a beautiful message without being preachy, and the genre of the film lies somewhere in the middle of Sooraj Barjatya’s and Ayushmann Khurrana's kinds of films. Prem is the character who is simple, soft and a green flag. I would like to explore that part again.” Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari are set to co-star for the first time in Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming romantic family entertainer. The film is set to be produced by Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. Speaking to PTI, he shared his thoughts while attending the red carpet of the inaugural International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) in the national capital. Vicky, who famously collaborated with Aditya Dhar for the 2019 hit Uri: The Surgical Strike, was full of praise for the director's new spy action franchise. He said, "I’m just very happy to see how Dhurandhar is working. I loved the first part, I’m yet to watch the second part. But Aditya is a great filmmaker, he’s got a great cast together, and I’m so happy that everyone is loving the film so much, and I can’t wait to catch it as soon as I go back to Mumbai.” The first part of Dhurandhar released in December 2025 and became a global sensation, earning over ₹1300 crore worldwide. It starred Ranveer Singh as an undercover Indian intelligence agent who infiltrates criminal and political networks in Karachi to dismantle a terror cell. The star-studded cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which released on March 19, has already earned over ₹900 crore at the box office. The second film explores the rise of Ranveer’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, while delving into his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. While Vicky was happy to discuss his peers' success, he remained tight-lipped about his own upcoming project, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War. When asked for an update on the film, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Vicky politely declined to share details. He said, "Abhi toh festival ki baat karte hai. Usme abhi bhi waqt hai (Let’s talk about the festival now. There’s still time for that).” Vicky was last seen in the historical epic Chhaava (2025), where he played the Maratha ruler Sambhaji.
