A | New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a Sanitary Overseer, Cantonment Board, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in an alleged bribe case.

A case was registered on a complaint against the accused on the allegations of the demanding bribe of Rs Sixty thousand per applicant (Total Rs 1.20 lakh) from the Complainant for contractual recruitment of sweepers, CBI in a statement stated.

CBI laid a trap and caught the sanitary overseer while accepting an alleged bribe of Rs one lakh ten thousand for contractual recruitment of two applicants, it stated.

Searches were conducted at the office and residential premises of the accused.
