Chinese FM slams Japanese PM’s speech on Aug 15 as downplaying responsibility for aggression, taking major step backward on history_我的网站

A |     The upcoming Telugu film, Nagabandham, directed by Abhishek Nama, has officially locked its worldwide theatrical release for July 3, 2026. Featuring a cast led by Virat Karrna and Nabha Natesh, alongside seasoned actors Jagapathi Babu and Rishabh Sawhney, the film is touted as a bold crossover between historical mystery and dramatic storytelling. The makers stated, "Exciting Announcement! We are Happy to share that our much-awaited PAN-INDIAN film 'NAGABANDHAM' will have its worldwide theatrical release on JULY 3, 2026! (sic)."          Nagabandham: A One-of-a-Kind Mystic Thriller     A departure from standard period pieces is promised. Rather than merely recounting known lore (involving Lord Shiva-related mythology), the film is expected to delve into a new kind of spiritual geography. Sequences in the recent glimpse showcased a high level of technical polish. The makers suggested that sophisticated digital effects and a well-crafted soundtrack will be used to build an atmosphere of tension and awe. Mystical elements can be evolved to present obscure rituals, and Nagabandham is expected to feature them. From the promotional material released so far, it appears that complex themes of divine protection and historical intrigue will be presented to a global audience with a contemporary flair in Nagabandham.          Three Actresses, Three Diverse Roles     Nabha Natesh, Daksha Nagarkar, and Ishwarya Menon will be seen in distinct roles within the movie. Nabha Natesh rose to fame with her performance in the blockbuster iSmart Shankar in 2019. Daksha Nagarkar is recognized for her presence in movies like Hushaaru and Zombie Reddy; she has primarily played glamorous roles in contemporary films. Recently, Nagabandham filmmakers unveiled a grand, visually spectacular song featuring the two actresses in a traditional dance number, "Namo Re." Ishwarya Menon, on the other hand, has acted in the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam industries. "By avoiding reflection on the lessons of history in his speech and downplaying responsibility for aggression, Sanae Takaichi has taken a major step backward on historical issues, once again exposing the sinister intentions of the Takaichi administration to cover up, distort and whitewash the history of aggression, which has drawn strong condemnation and widespread opposition from various quarters," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday when asked to comment on Takaichi's war memorial address on August 15, which marks the 81st anniversary of Japan's unconditional surrender in World War II.
Lin added that on the day marking Japan's defeat and surrender, Takaichi offered a ritual donation to the notorious war-linked Yasukuni Shrine, while senior officials and politicians including Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi also visited and paid their respects there, further intensifying the vigilance of Asian neighbors and the international community over Japan's future direction. 
Lin also cited remarks by some people of insight in Japan, noting that a country that fails to reflect on its past cannot gain trust, and that the defense minister's actions amount to support for wars of aggression.
Lin stressed that this year marks the 81st anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo Trial. Only by facing up to history and drawing lessons from it can we avoid repeating past mistakes and going astray again.
"We once again urge Japanese policymakers to earnestly heed the voices of justice from within Japan and the international community, deeply reflect on their responsibilities, make a clean break with militarism, and refrain from going further down the wrong path," Lin said.
